Results at a glance

An automated competitor research tool that identifies the top 10 competitors for a domain across different geographic scopes. It combines competitor crawling, AI-generated business summaries, backlink research, social profile discovery and Google Sheets export in one workflow.

  • Top 10 competitors returned per search
  • 11 location scopes for local, regional and worldwide research
  • 4 AI providers in a fallback chain for business summaries
  • One-click backlink and social profile discovery for competitors
  • Database storage and export to a new Google Sheet
  • Individual competitor recrawling for updated results

How it works

  1. Enter a domain and select a location. Start with a domain and choose the geographic scope for competitor discovery, from a specific US ZIP code to country-level or worldwide research.
  2. Generate AI business summaries. Optionally enable AI descriptions to generate a concise summary of each competitor's business after its information has been collected.
  3. Review the top 10 competitors. Browse the returned results, including available business details and contact information, with AI summaries when enabled.
  4. Save or export results. Store competitor data in the database for future reference or export the results to a new Google Sheet for sharing and analysis.
  5. Recrawl individual competitors. Trigger a fresh crawl for a specific competitor to update its collected information without rerunning the entire search.
  6. Discover backlinks and social profiles. Retrieve backlink information and available public profiles across Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Instagram with a single action.

Location targeting

Competitor research depends on the geographic market being targeted. The tool supports 11 location scopes, covering six US-specific options and five broader geographic options.

  • ZIP code: Research competitors in a specific postal area
  • ZIP code plus surrounding area: Expand research beyond the selected ZIP code
  • City: Find competitors within a selected city
  • City plus surrounding area: Include nearby markets
  • County: Target a specific US county
  • County plus surrounding area: Extend the search to neighboring areas
  • State or province: Research a wider regional market
  • State plus surrounding area: Expand the regional search
  • Country: Research competitors at the national level
  • Country plus surrounding area: Extend the geographic scope beyond the selected country
  • Worldwide: Discover competitors without a specific geographic restriction

These options make the tool suitable for both local SEO research and broader competitor benchmarking.

AI summaries with automatic fallback

The tool integrates four AI providers to generate concise business descriptions for competitor results. Rather than relying on a single provider, it uses a fallback chain to improve the reliability of summary generation.

If a provider is unavailable, responds too slowly or reaches a rate limit, the system can move to the next provider. This reduces interruptions and minimizes the need for manual retries.

AI descriptions are optional, allowing users to run competitor research without generating summaries when they are not needed.

Data storage and Google Sheets export

Each search can be saved to the database, making collected competitor information available for later review and comparison.

When results need to be shared or analyzed elsewhere, the Google Sheets API exports them to a newly created Google Sheet through a single action. This reduces manual copying and makes the research easier to distribute.

Beyond identifying competitors, the tool provides a streamlined way to investigate their online presence. Users can trigger backlink collection and social profile discovery directly from individual competitor results.

Supported social platforms include Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Instagram. These insights help users investigate competitor visibility, potential link-building opportunities and social media activity.
