The business model

The platform connects diners with restaurants through a subscription-based discount model. Customers purchase a subscription to access offers at participating restaurants, while restaurant owners attract potential customers by publishing deals through their vendor accounts.

Advertising provides a second revenue stream. Advertisers can manage promotional banners displayed on the website, allowing the platform owner to generate revenue beyond customer subscriptions.

Four panels, four roles

Each user type has a dedicated panel with features tailored to its responsibilities and permissions.

  • Customer panel. Allows customers to browse restaurants and deals by city and category, purchase or manage subscriptions, and access their discount coupons.
  • Vendor panel. Enables restaurant owners to register and manage multiple restaurants, publish deals and verify customer coupons.
  • Advertiser panel. Allows advertisers to upload and manage promotional banners displayed across the website.
  • Admin panel. Provides centralized management of users, restaurants, subscriptions, advertisements and coupons.

Role-based access keeps each panel focused on the tasks its users need to perform.

Coupons and validation

Customers receive coupons through their subscriptions and can use eligible discounts at participating restaurants. To make redemption straightforward, restaurant owners can access their vendor portal and check whether a coupon is still valid.

Staff can verify coupons at the point of service and decide whether to accept them without contacting the platform administrator. This simplifies redemption and gives restaurants a direct way to validate customer offers.

Advertising and banner management

The platform includes a dedicated advertiser panel where advertisers can upload and manage their promotional banners. These advertisements appear on the website, including the homepage, providing businesses with visibility to potential customers.

This self-service advertising workflow creates an additional monetization channel alongside subscription revenue.

Other e-commerce projects

In addition to this platform, I have built e-commerce storefronts for an artisan bakery and a natural medicine shop. These projects included product catalogs, checkout workflows and order notifications to support online sales and order management.

Architecture and technology stack

The platform uses Laravel and PHP to support its role-based application structure, subscription workflows, restaurant management, coupon verification and advertising functionality.

  • Laravel: Backend application and business logic
  • PHP: Server-side processing and workflows
  • Role-based access control: Separate panels and permissions
  • Subscription management: Customer plans and discount access
  • Coupon validation: Vendor-side eligibility checks
  • Advertising management: Banner uploads and administration

My role

I developed the platform's core functionality, including the four role-based panels, restaurant and vendor management, subscriptions, coupon validation and advertising workflows. I also worked on e-commerce storefronts for an artisan bakery and a natural medicine shop, implementing checkout and order notification functionality.
